How Do We Rebuild What Has Been Lost?

Join Mark and Katherine on location in South London

In this episode, we report from outside the a facility in Brixton, where the Good Counsel Network hosts one of the UK’s most faithful and persistent pro-life vigils as part of the global 40 Days for Life campaign.

Standing on the pavement where volunteers quietly pray and offer help to women in crisis pregnancies, we explore the history of the vigil, the work of the Good Counsel Network, and why public Christian witness remains essential in a culture increasingly hostile to life.

We speak with those present at the vigil about why they come, what they have seen, and how ordinary Catholics can take part in this peaceful and prayerful effort to save lives.

This conversation also reflects on the deeper spiritual crisis behind what is happening and the broader culture of death that has taken hold in the West. In the midst of this, we discuss why the Catholic Church’s teaching on the dignity of human life remains not only true but urgently necessary.

Ultimately, the pro-life movement is not merely political — it is spiritual. It is about charity, courage, prayer, and the willingness to stand publicly for the most vulnerable members of our society.
