Thank you for writing this Katherine. I’m still in total shock after the footage I saw yesterday. My heart goes out to his wife and two young children. Jesus please be near them at this distressing time.

It is not all about revenge though. As the Last Days march into view the fact is there will be many martyrs, many more than this and it doesn’t boil down to revenge but what St Paul said, ultimately what fellowship can light and darkness truly have? Less and less when the armies of darkness start killing the children of light. We both saw the snarling hatred on the March for Life. One day the police won’t be separating us but wading into us, this is prophesised and we are warned about this time in Scripture. So, no, do not retaliate but do be ready because this is another prophetic warning of the dark days yet to come and they will be a lot darker than even this.

I'm not sure why I received this blog. But it is so on the mark. Yesterday I was selling my farms produce at a Wednesday market. I got a text ping on my phone and read the news about Charlie Kirk. I then checked my email and already had confirmation. I blurted out loud Oh my God Charlie Kirk was shot at a campus in Utah. Another vendor blurted out "probably over his conspiracy theory" I screamed that's disgusting. What was really bothersome was the reaction of others. As if this father of two children life did not matter. I have been struggling with the fact that because I grow Organic Produce many of those that I interact with are for the most part Agnostic. The same goes for most of my extended family. I am a practicing Catholic and I don't hide it. We most go deeper in prayer and witness and if that means being a Martyr so be it. The many many who have died to defend the Faith. The Carmelite Nuns who were Martyrs near the end of the French Revolution come to mind. Pax Christi!

Hopefully this sad wicked event will draw more people to God, to Mass, as satan's grip on people increases.

I agree entirely with you. However, what do we do about raped children when there is no justice for them? What do we do about radical Islam when they want us dead? What do we do with trans men when they want to invade & harm women? What do we do when they indoctrinate our vulnerable children there are 54 genders? What do we do when they kill babies in the womb & use their parts in vaccines, what do we do when they euthanise the elderly? Praying is central to everything . Fighting back doesn’t mean killing but it is a war nonetheless .

Katherine is not saying that we should not stand up for the truth, but that we should do so without hatred, knowing that the Truth IS Christ, it belongs to Him, not us. The same Christ who did not stop the Romans (and everyone else) from crucifying Him. He did not get a physical army together and He has already won the war. There are practical things that can be, and should be and are being done, especially by the brave and selfless. Charlie Kirk was one of them. May he receive his eternal reward and may many convert to Christ as a result of his selfless love of Christ.

This is how I feel:

“My Christian faith requires me to love my enemies & pray for those who curse me. It does not require me to stand idly by in the midst of savagery & barbarism…quite the opposite”. (de Santis governor of Florida)

You are right, Catherine. But we must also be prudent and recognize sinners who are willing to repent and those who are not. Jesus told His apostles when preparing them for the mission on which He was sending them: if anyone does not receive you or listen to what you have to say, leave that house or town, and once outside it shake its dust from your feet" (Mt 10:14). Of course, unlike the culture of death, Jesus didn't tell the apostles to kill those who rejected them, rather He told them not to waste their time with them.
