Pope Leo: Only hope in Christ can give our lives meaning

This morning, at his general audience in St Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV offered a profound meditation on the gift of life and the Christian call to hope. Reflecting on the mystery of human existence, he emphasised that life is not something we earn or deserve, but a gift to be received, cherished, nurtured and shared. In a world often shadowed by despair, the Pope reminded us that our hope is anchored in the resurrection of Christ and that this hope invites us to “beget life” in love, solidarity, and faith.
