On July 22nd, 2025, John Michael “Ozzy” Osbourne, once dubbed the Prince of Darkness, died peacefully at age 76. Just weeks before, the world watched him, frail and trembling, mount the stage one last time to bid farewell to his fans. It was raw, moving, defiant. And for all the theatrics of his decades-long career in heavy metal, what’s emerging now about his final days may be the most surprising act of all: an openness to grace.

This is not a celebrity tribute. It is a meditation on what it means to be human, and what it means to die well.
