The Gatekeepers of Our Christian History Have Declared Christians Unwelcome. The National Trust Strikes Again.

The Trust dropped Christmas and Easter from its 2024 ‘inclusivity and wellbeing’ calendar, while giving the dates for the Hindu festival of Diwali and the Muslim festivals of Eid and Ramadan.

Christianity built the West. We can (and really should) thank the Church for all that we take for granted; morality, law, rights, justice, charity, education, family formation, healthcare, scientific understanding, architecture, art, the hospice movement and all that is good, true and beautiful about our civilisation. Despite what the cranks say, it ain’t all Magdalene laundries and paedo priests. And, of course (lest we forget) it is God who created everything, out of nothing. That includes all of nature and all of us. That’s pretty good going.

Fast forward to 2025 and the National Trust in their role as gatekeepers of Britains historic natural sites have denied access to St Anthony Communications, a UK based Catholic production company seeking to record a documentary exploring the Way of St Cuthbert which would follow a US university professor and his students along the Saint’s historic path from Melrose Abbey to Lindisfarne.

Filmmaker Christian Holden sought permission from the National Trust to film at St Cuthbert’s Cave, traditionally believed to be the place where St Cuthbert’s body was laid in 875 AD. However, the National Trust declined the request, citing a policy against filming with “religious affiliation.”

This would be easier to stomach (though still mind numbingly idiotic) if the National Trust hadn’t become a bastion of postmodern propaganda. Once again we have people blind to the fact that they are deeply indoctrinated by the corrosive education pumped into them over the past decades, presenting themselves as if they stand on some neutral ground from which to judge all things. This ground does not exist. They have simply jumped from the Arc of the Church, which afforded them the freedom they now abuse, to the melting iceberg of the postmodernist incoherent nonsense they spout today. Thankfully it is melting, and no amount of climate change action is going to stop that. It won’t be too long before the National Trust cronies are flailing around under the waves. It’s at this point they’d better hope there is still some Christianity left in the country they have been actively destroying, or they won’t be coming back up at all.

A few years ago I wrote about the ‘queering’ of Jane Austen’ as part of an ideological rewriting of history which we see making it’s way into Schools, Theatres, the Arts and even the Sciences. The National Trust have been quick to leap aboard this bandwagon, desperately trying to find ‘Gay’ everywhere. It’s a wonder we exist at all if you look at history through the lens of ‘Gay’ activists. And if the past wasn’t Gay enough, the future sure will be if the National Trust has anything to do with it.
