It amazes me how Catholic outlets continue to talk about these very important ethical issues but decline to engage when the discussions become complex.

Unfortunately, the only way to provide a solid foundation on which to build an ethic for the future, in the face of AI, potentially deep artificial genetic interventions and transhumanism, is to deal with these topics in-depth and incorporate new concepts that are emerging.

Information emanating from human genetics is being overlooked and which, if attended to, would help transform our view of ourselves. These perspectives align perfectly with consistent Catholic teaching. They also provide a formidable challenge to the extraordinary claims, made by some prelates at the highest levels of the Church that its teaching on sexuality should change because of scientific and sociological discoveries.

Gavin, Katherine and Mark, your discussions have caused me, repeatedly, to reach out to any one of you through the e-mail you provide in Catholic Unscripted (info@catholicunscripted.com). But I never get a reply.

In total frustration, and especially after seeing your video “Why are Catholic ethical centres closing …” I decided to do something that I have been resisting – become a paid member.

If interested I can provide the material I have been endeavouring to send to you. My email contact is ourownidentity AT gmail.com

Raymond
