All of you, who see yourselves amid the tides of the world, tossed by storms and tempests rather than walking on the land, do not turn your eyes away from this shining star
We have a convent in NorthDevon, the order is so named Mary Star of the Sea. Had occasion to meet them recently, what a beautiful order this is, such lovely godly women. So focused on prayer and on our Lady.
These beautiful words of St Bernard of Clairvaux are both timeless and timely in this month of storms and tempests of every kind around the world and in our hearts. They remind me of the beautiful poem by Gerard Manley Hopkins, read here by Jonathan Roumie https://youtu.be/t_sSc1VQeYk?si=4RDsWBj6jAFDSOqU

Thank you. I’m truly feeling tossed & thrown but am hanging on to the promises of Christ. Mary mother of us all pray for us.
